The company is currently searching for an Advertising Sales Representative for  Magazine.

Essential Job Functions

Employment Responsibilities

  • Maintaining established accounts by consistently calling and corresponding with companies within territory.
  • Tracking expiring contracts and negotiating to maintain business.
  • Selling creative print and digital ad programs, embracing content marketing and sponsored content initiatives where appropriate.
  • Focus on reaching goals by prospecting, upselling, presentations, proposal writing, follow-up, etc.
  • Working a solid list of prospects to grow territory, meet and exceed goals.
  • Working closely with advertising coordinator and production to ensure all territories’ ads meet deadline.
  • Establishing close relationships with clients and/or agencies.
  • Providing reports and analysis for ad sales for each issue.
  • Observing industry and market trends and develop plans for achieving strategic goals.
  • Traveling as necessary to trade/consumer shows and client sites to observe trends, present to prospective customers and gather leads.
  • Working closely with all departments; circulation, marketing, production and business, to troubleshoot dilemmas and ensure customer satisfaction.

Experience

  • Previous sales experience with proven experience cold calling, presenting to prospective clients, and maintaining client relationships.
  • Prior experience within the magazine publication industry highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills via phone and in person with focus on strong customer service.
  • Computer skills to include client management programs along with Microsoft Office including Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Proven organizational skills with ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and focus on details.
  • Demonstrated experience working efficiently within a team environment.
  • Experience in the Fine Art gallery market preferred.
